All of them are free to download and make their money from ads, in-app purchases or subscriptions.

We make one of the games in this post. Football Kick is a one-finger football (soccer) game for iPhone and iPad, made for iPhone Duo. It’s on its way to the App Store, and its website runs the game’s own engine free in a browser today. It has its own section below, which says who it suits.

Facts about the other games come from their US App Store pages on 26 October 2026 unless a footnote says otherwise, so prices are in US dollars and may differ in your country. We haven’t played or timed the games for this post. The list covers games built around the shot itself, from penalties and free kicks to flick shooting, and every pick apart from the two classic flick games has had an update in 2026. Match games such as EA Sports FC Mobile, eFootball and Dream League Soccer 2026 are a different category, and they fill four of the five places in Apple’s own soccer collection on the App Store.1

Single-player games where you shoot through a match

Score! Hero (First Touch Games)

Score! Hero follows one player’s career from club to club through hundreds of levels, each a crafted moment from a match. Apple’s editors note on its App Store page that you pass and shoot by drawing the ball’s path, and that careful play beats frantic swiping. Its App Store subtitle advertises offline play. It’s free, contains third-party advertising and sells in-app purchases from $0.99 to $15.99, including $2.99 each for Unlimited Kicks and 24 hours of unlimited energy, as of 26 October 2026.2 Version 4.72 added Season 63 of new levels on 6 October 2026. It’s rated 4.7 from about 368,000 ratings, and it’s the one game in Apple’s soccer collection built around the shot, next to four match games.1

There’s no separate Score! Hero 2 listing. First Touch’s website and App Store page show Score! Hero, which its description says has been revamped and enhanced from the 2015 original.3

Soccer Superstar (Real Free Soccer)

Soccer Superstar is closest to Score! Hero in shape, with flicks in place of drawn lines. You flick across the screen to pass and to shoot, and as you move up through its leagues the shots get harder and you have to bend the ball past defenders. Its page says you can play offline, weekly tournaments included. It’s free with advertising, and sells No Ads purchases, a $5.99 weekly VIP subscription and skip tickets from $2.99 to $24.99, as of 26 October 2026.4 It was updated on 19 October 2026 and is rated 4.7 from about 358,000 ratings.

Penalty kick games for iPhone

Final Kick: Online football (Ivanovich Games)

Final Kick is the most penalty-focused game here. You shoot with a finger and drag the goalkeeper to make saves, in real-time matches against friends or strangers that its page says are settled in about two minutes. Offline, there are 20 tournaments against 100 teams, and a free online tournament runs every weekend with prizes for the top 100. It’s free with advertising and chat. Purchases run from $1.99 to a $74.99 Life member club, including weekly memberships at $6.49 and $8.99 and $2.99 for unlimited offline tournaments, as of 26 October 2026.5 It also runs on Apple TV. Version 9.2.14 came out on 4 August 2026, and it’s rated 4.4 from about 6,200 ratings.

Perfect Kick 2 (Gamegou)

Perfect Kick 2 plays 1v1 online matches of under three minutes, in which you swap between kicker and goalkeeper each turn. Appliv’s review, last updated in February 2024, says you flick to aim the shot and the speed of the flick sets its pace. Skills such as a banana kick fire when you tap their icon, and in goal you tap where you want to block.6 Leagues, clubs, power-ups and chat sit around the matches. It’s free with advertising, loot boxes and in-app purchases from $0.99 to $9.99, as of 26 October 2026, and its page doesn’t mention offline play.7 Version 2.0.64 came out on 25 May 2026, and it’s rated 4.7 from about 20,000 ratings.

Free kick games for iPhone

Football Strike (Miniclip)

Football Strike has the most ratings of any game in this list, 4.7 from about 387,000 in the US store. In online free-kick duels against friends or other players you both shoot and save with a flick of the finger, and a career mode takes you round stadiums across the world. Its page says it needs an internet connection. It’s free, and declares advertising, loot boxes and purchases that include random items, from $0.99 to $9.99, with a $4.99 season pass and $1.99 for unlimited matches, as of 26 October 2026.8 You can upgrade your player and equipment, and play as FC Barcelona. It was updated on 22 October 2026.

Flick Goal! (Lion Studios)

Flick Goal! turns free kicks into puzzles. You flick the ball to score on awkward fields and move on to new worlds, and online modes put you against other players one on one or three against three. It’s free with advertising. Remove Ads costs $2.99, and Keeper Mode ($1.99) and Shooting Race Mode ($2.99) are sold separately, as of 26 October 2026.9 Its page doesn’t say whether it plays offline. Version 3.0.2 came out on 24 September 2026, and it’s rated 4.6 from about 28,000 ratings.

Flick football games from the early App Store

Flick Kick Football Kickoff (PikPok)

Flick Kick Football Kickoff is PikPok’s original flick game, on the App Store since April 2011 and revamped for newer devices in July 2020. You sweep a finger across the ball to drive, curve and power it past walls of defenders, in practice, target, arcade and time attack modes, or pass the phone to a friend in local multiplayer. It’s free with in-app purchases from $0.99 to $4.99, such as team packs, as of 26 October 2026, and its page doesn’t mention ads.10 It was last updated in August 2022, and it’s rated 3.4 from 252 ratings. PikPok’s Flick Kick Goalkeeper, which puts you in goal, is still listed too, last updated in May 2019.11

Flick Soccer 25 (Full Fat)

Flick Soccer 25 has five modes, among them free kicks against defenders and a goalkeeper, target practice against the clock and a crossbar challenge. Its page describes the controls as “flick and after touch”. The only in-app purchase it lists is Remove Ads at $5.99, as of 26 October 2026, and it doesn’t mention offline play.12 It was last updated in February 2025, and it’s rated 4.0 from 956 ratings.

Two older kick games are still on the store years after their last update. Gamegou’s first Perfect Kick, a penalty shootout game, was last updated in December 2019, and its purchases run up to $99.99.13 Gameguru’s Flick Shoot 2, a free-kick game last updated in February 2019, sells a $12.99 weekly membership after a three-day trial.14

Football games for iPhone Duo

iPhone Duo went on sale on 23 October 2026.15 Every game in this list runs on it. A game built with the iOS 26 SDK or earlier plays in an iPhone-shaped window in the middle of the open inner display, with black around it, and only a rebuild with the iOS 27.1 SDK fills the screen.1617 Apple shows a badge on the App Store page of apps whose developers submit iPhone Duo screenshots.15

As of 26 October 2026, none of the eight App Store pages above mentions iPhone Duo in its description or release notes. FoldHunt, an independent tracker of iPhone Duo apps, lists seven games in its guide to the best iPhone Duo apps, updated that day, and 106 in its directory of games adapted for the fold. None of them is a football or soccer game.1819 Two football games do use the fold. For games in other genres that use it, see our iPhone Duo games list.

Penalty Area: Face2Face (Eray Dinç)

Penalty Area: Face2Face is the football game you can download for iPhone Duo today. Its App Store page says “Fold your phone. Face the goal.” and that on iPhone Duo it makes the fold part of the game, though it doesn’t say which posture it uses. It has four modes: The Run, where you keep scoring until your first miss; Fifty, where you score from 50 shots; Duel, against a friend on the same device; and Practice. It’s free, with a $4.99 purchase for the full game, and its page says it has no ads and no subscription, as of 26 October 2026. It uses Game Center leaderboards, and the page doesn’t say whether it plays offline.20 BGR named it among its launch-day iPhone Duo picks.21

Football Kick (9io)

We make Football Kick, so weigh this entry with that in mind. It’s a one-finger football game for iPhone and iPad, made for iPhone Duo and on its way to the App Store. It needs iOS 17 or later.

Fold iPhone Duo like a laptop and stand it on a table. The bottom half lies flat as the pitch, the top half stands up as the goal, and you swipe the ball across the fold into the net. Both halves are drawn from one virtual camera, the hinge lights up like goal-line technology when you score, and replays play on the standing half. Folded like a book, one page shows a camera behind the net and the other the main view.

Football Kick on iPhone Duo folded like a laptop, with the goal standing up behind the fold

Swipe speed is power, a longer swipe lifts the ball and a curved swipe bends it. On a phone, the point where your finger ends is where you aim. Wind matters too, and the physics runs in fixed 1/600-second steps, so a replay is exactly the kick you hit. Version 1.0, which we’re finishing now, has Just Kick, an easy mode with no wind and a friendly keeper. It also has a World Tour of 30 levels across six grounds, with six keepers who react to the ball, from Theo Lund, The Apprentice, to Idris Okafor, The Octopus. Its other modes are Quick Play, Streak, Shootout against the computer or a friend on one phone, Daily Kick and Practice. There are no ads, accounts or tracking, and it works offline. footballkicks.9io.ai runs the app’s own engine, ported to JavaScript, in Just Kick, Penalties and Streak, free for five minutes of play a day.

It suits iPhone Duo owners who want a kick game with free kicks, curl and a World Tour around the fold, and anyone who wants one without ads or tracking. To play strangers online, pick Football Strike, Perfect Kick 2 or Final Kick, since Football Kick’s two-player mode is a Shootout with a friend on the same phone. Our launch post covers how the game works, and both our games are on 9io.ai/games.

What separates a good soccer kick game

Four things decide whether a kick game is worth keeping, and an App Store page answers some of them before you download.

Swipe reading. Speed, length and bend should each change the shot, and the same swipe should always give the same shot. Apple’s developer documentation says some devices gather touch data at up to 240 Hz, more often than it’s normally passed to an app, so a game that reads one touch sample per frame throws away part of a fast flick.22 Flick Kick has you sweep across the ball. Score! Hero has you draw the path instead, which Apple’s editors say rewards care over frantic swiping.

Keepers that react fairly. The penalty mark is 11 metres from the middle of the goal line.23 A shot at an assumed 100 km/h, about 27.8 metres a second, covers that in about 0.4 seconds. A computer keeper that saw every shot instantly and could reach both corners would save almost all of them. A fair keeper needs a reaction time, a limited reach and some guessing, so that a well-placed shot beats him. In Football Strike, Perfect Kick 2 and Final Kick’s online matches the keeper is another player, so matchmaking and the connection matter more.

Ads and pay-to-win. On an App Store page, look at the Contains line under the age rating, which can list advertising and loot boxes, and at the in-app purchase list. Football Strike and Perfect Kick 2 declare loot boxes. In Football Strike, where you play real people, you can upgrade your player and equipment, and its purchases include random items. Score! Hero sells Unlimited Kicks for $2.99, and Final Kick’s weekly memberships cost $6.49 and $8.99, as of 26 October 2026.

Offline play. Football Strike needs an internet connection. Score! Hero and Soccer Superstar say they play offline, and Final Kick has offline tournaments. The other four App Store pages don’t say either way.

Which football kick game to play

  • If you want a long single-player game for a flight, play Score! Hero.
  • If you’d rather flick than draw, and still want to play offline, play Soccer Superstar.
  • If you want penalty shootouts, online or off, play Final Kick.
  • If you want short online duels in which you keep goal as well, play Perfect Kick 2.
  • If you want to beat real people at free kicks and don’t mind loot boxes, play Football Strike.
  • If you like free kicks as puzzles, Flick Goal! is built around them.
  • If you want the classic flick free kick with small one-off purchases, play Flick Kick Football Kickoff or Flick Soccer 25, knowing they were last updated in 2022 and 2025.
  • If you own an iPhone Duo and want a penalty game for the fold today, play Penalty Area: Face2Face.
  • If you want free kicks, curl and a World Tour built around the fold, with no ads or tracking, try Football Kick free in your browser and look out for it on the App Store.
  • If you can’t install anything, Football Kick at footballkicks.9io.ai and Penalty Shooters 2 on CrazyGames both run in a browser. CrazyGames says Penalty Shooters 2 isn’t available as an iOS app.24
